If you run a business address, a personal Gmail and a project mailbox, the hard part is not reading email. It is knowing what needs you across every account, and replying from the right one. This page covers what Gmail does on its own, the usual workarounds, and how emlOPS puts several Gmail accounts into one view.

01

Does Gmail have a unified inbox?

Not for separate accounts on the web. In Gmail on a computer you sign in to each account and switch between them. Gmail's Multiple inboxes setting splits one account's inbox into sections based on searches or labels; it does not combine separate accounts into one triage view.

The Gmail app for Android, iPhone and iPad lets you add several accounts. Google is also ending "Check mail from other accounts" (POP fetching) and Gmailify in Gmail on the web, and points people to forwarding or the mobile app instead (Google's notice).

02

How to see multiple Gmail accounts in one place

Forwarding. Set each account to forward new mail to one main inbox. Forwarding moves a copy of a message: the reply identity, original folder, thread state and provider controls still live in the original account, so you can end up with one crowded inbox and several accounts that still need upkeep.

Gmail's built-in options. Switch between signed-in accounts, or use Multiple inboxes inside a single account. Both keep each account on its own.

A unified inbox app. Connect each account through the provider's own consent screen, and work them from one view. That is the approach emlOPS takes.

03

How emlOPS's unified inbox works

Connect. Bring personal Gmail and Google Workspace accounts into one secure workspace. Connections use OAuth, are revocable, and need no shared passwords.

One view, identities kept. Conversations from every connected account come together in one operational inbox, and each thread keeps the account that received it. In supported Gmail accounts, emlOPS can discover the primary address and accepted "Send mail as" identities, so a reply uses an identity the provider recognizes.

Sorted into lanes. Messages become Now, Drafts ready, Waiting, FYI and Noise, plus projects and commitments. You can correct a classification, and your corrections are kept.

Search and ask across accounts. Search every connected account and attachment without changing accounts, or ask a question in plain language and open the source threads.

Drafts you approve. AI prepares replies for you to review. Nothing sends without an authorized human decision: you approve the message, or you switch on automatic replies or a sending policy, which you can turn off at any time.

The Founder plan covers up to eight mailboxes in one operated inbox (pricing). For the detail on accounts and identities, read one inbox for multiple email accounts.

04

Unified inbox vs shared inbox

A unified inbox brings several of your own accounts into one view. A shared inbox is for a team working one address together, such as a support address. emlOPS is a unified inbox: one operational queue across the accounts you connect, with team members added to the founder workspace when you need them.

05

What about Outlook?

Gmail and Google Workspace today. Outlook is next. emlOPS has connection paths for Microsoft, but if a connection is marked setup pending in the app, treat it as unavailable.

Frequently asked questions

Does Gmail have a unified inbox?

Not for separate accounts on the web. Gmail on a computer shows one signed-in account at a time, and its Multiple inboxes setting splits a single account into sections. The Gmail mobile app lets you add several accounts. emlOPS brings multiple Gmail accounts into one operational inbox.

Can I manage multiple Gmail accounts in one place?

Yes. emlOPS connects each Gmail or Google Workspace account through OAuth and brings their conversations into one operational inbox, while each thread keeps the account that received it and replies use a provider-verified identity. The Founder plan includes up to eight mailboxes.

Is my email read by AI?

When an AI feature runs, such as sorting, summarizing or drafting, the minimum necessary context, typically one conversation or one message, is sent to the selected model provider. emlOPS does not train models on your mail, and attachments stay with the mail provider and open on demand.

Does it work with Outlook?

Not yet. emlOPS works with Gmail and Google Workspace today, and Outlook is next.
